About
I’m Rae, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
People usually find their way to me when something no longer fits. A belief system. A relationship. A way of living they’ve outgrown. Sometimes the change is obvious. Sometimes it’s harder to name what’s not working.
My work is grounded in depth psychology, attachment, and existential thought.
I help you make sense of your experiences, reconnect with your intuition, and live by the values and beliefs that guide your life.
I tend to work in a direct, grounded way, helping you think clearly, trust yourself, and understand what’s actually happening for you.
I work with individuals and couples navigating:
religious trauma and leaving high-demand religions
anxiety, grief, and life transitions
ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence
relational and intimacy challenges
family of origin dynamics
I also work with people in non-traditional relationships and those in the LGBTQ+ community.
I have both personal and professional experience working with people from high-demand religious systems, including Mormonism.
I’ve also trained in psychedelic-assisted therapy and integration.
I am licensed in California (146447), Utah (14217933-3902) and I am registered to provide telehealth in South Carolina. Click here to verify my South Carolina Telemedicine Provider Registration.
AT A GLANCE
FOUR THINGS ABOUT RAE
One
I share my workspace with two cats: Tzipora (“Zippy”), a four-year-old tortoiseshell, and Serendipity, a six-year-old tuxedo. They make regular cameos during sessions strolling across my desk and can often be found napping in the right-hand drawer of my desk or in the nearby window hammock.
Two
I’ve come to appreciate the quiet magic of the desert and now call Yucca Valley, California home. When I’m not working, I’m often out hiking among the Joshua trees, soaking in the stillness.
Three
I love baking/cooking, crafting, upcycling, and finding creative ways to give new life to things that might otherwise be forgotten. I love Poshmark and the ShopGoodwill app!
Four
I have dozens of houseplants, including orchids, a fiddle leaf fig, monsteras, and pothos, and I enjoy the color they add to my home.
